Why choose a large format wine bottle?

Discover our selection of magnums, jeroboams and other large format wines from prestigious domaines in Burgundy, Champagne, the Rhône Valley and France’s finest wine regions.

The larger the bottle, the slower the wine evolves thanks to reduced contact with air. Large formats therefore offer greater ageing potential and a more harmonious evolution than a standard 75cl bottle.

Magnums and large bottles also create a memorable and convivial experience, making them ideal for celebrating weddings, anniversaries, births and other special occasions around fine wines.

The presence of mourvèdre gives it a lot of character, balance, and complexity for aging. This rosé attracts with its powerful citrus aroma (pink grapefruit). Its ample, round palate with a slight hint of spices reveals a beautiful freshness through its acidic balance.

96/100 RVF. A fine and vibrant vintage, considered by the Sabon family "as one of the best of the last decade", which shows great aging potential for wines that will already be enjoyable in their prime youth (but may close up later, as sometimes happens with Châteauneuf-du-Pape).

Gosset ranked 8th best Champagne house (ahead of Billecart-Salmon 9th, Deutz 12th, Ruinart 18th, Taittinger 19th, Moët & Chandon 22nd, Laurent-Perrier, Veuve Clicquot, Mumm, Pommery, etc. The top trio being Krug-Roederer-Jacquesson) by RVF (n°686) in 2024. The cuvée major of the Gosset house. In magnum, it's hard to find anything more prestigious!...

90/100 RVF. The great cuvée in red from this famous domaine des Gandines impresses us a little more with each new vintage. The Dananchet brothers are doing wonders with their family domaine (and a lot of work!). An elegant pinot noir from southern Burgundy, with beautiful soft and silky tannins and a lovely aromatic expression. Very successful in 2022.

Even though he vinifies other appellations, Saint-Joseph is Aurélien Chatagnier's "trademark." This cuvée has become the "quality/price signature" of this domaine on the rise. A must-try if you are not already a regular! Beware, these rich 2022s are still very (too much for our taste, especially in magnums) young in 2024, the year they are released from...

95/100 RVF and 94/100 B+D. Organic, from an exceptional cirque in terms of terroir and exposure, it is one of the cuvées for aging from the domaine. Its flavors of red fruits, spices, and garrigue make it the archetype of modern Languedoc.

Côte du Py is a parcel wine from Jean Foillard, originating from one of the most illustrious terroirs of Beaujolais. Like in Burgundy, it is a very particular climate that contributes to the reputation of Morgon and gives rise, in great years, to a few rare bottles of the exceptional cuvée "3,14" (which will be released after a long aging at the domaine).

Favorite and 98/100 RVF. The great cuvée of the domaine had not been produced in 2021 or 2022, and everyone was eagerly awaiting the 2023 vintage. Fortunately, all the qualitative and weather conditions were met in 2023, marking the return of this mythical cuvée from Châteauneuf. Still closed and too young in June 2025, the date of its release from the...

The other "little" Côtes du Rhône from Stéphane Ogier, primarily Grenache to change from the illustrious "Syrah d'Ogier." The quality-price ratio becomes indecent, but don't expect a "little" light Côtes du Rhône... This is truly a superb southern Rhône, which can be kept for 5 to 10 years in large format.

Rare bottle. The Soulas brothers learned everything from Laurent Vaillé of Grange des Pères, and they now honor his memory by implementing his teachings. We did not have the opportunity to taste one of these too rare bottles from the 2023 vintage, but the echoes from trustworthy individuals have convinced us to offer them to you "blind".

This blend of gamay (for the fruitiness) and pinot noir (for the structure and elegance) is technically perfect. At this price, lovers of beautiful discoveries "from behind the hedges" will not be disappointed! WARNING: For the environment, the domaine has decided to stop using aluminum capsules (purely aesthetic), but rest assured, the wine is perfectly...

A GSM (Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre) of exemplary finesse from Languedoc, produced by a domaine recently founded by Sophie and Vincent Guizard, the former partner of F. Pourtalié at Montcalmès. The Guizards have not claimed the AOP Terrasse du Larzac since 2016 and now display the simple AOP Languedoc on their labels. This matters little to us: the vines have...
