Maison de la CHAPELLE - Delphine and Grégory Viennois - Irancy
Located in Irancy, in northern Burgundy, Maison de la Chapelle is more than just a wine merchant; it’s a true family-owned vineyard, founded by Delphine and Grégory Viennois.
Inspired by the “Great Houses” of Burgundy, the winemakers are passionately dedicated to showcasing the Yonne terroirs, particularly through the Irancy appellation, known for its high-quality red wines based on Pinot Noir (and also for its limited production). Some beautiful Aligotés and Chardonnays are also produced.
The estate, both a place of work and home, was born from a desire to preserve traditional practices and authentic expertise. Every stage of production, from fermentation to aging, takes place on-site with strict adherence to natural cycles.
Delphine, from a family of Burgundian winemakers, and Grégory, an experienced oenologist with a background in prestigious estates, combine their expertise to produce wines that faithfully reflect the character of their terroir.
Today, Maison de la Chapelle carefully manages parcels within the Irancy appellation. Each vineyard plot has a unique character, and the diversity of local climates allows for the creation of unique single-parcel cuvées.
Among these parcels are Beaux Monts, with its sunny exposure producing wines with generous aromas of black cherry and violet, and Bâtardes, a cooler climate that yields wines with precision and spice. Altogether, these parcels create a remarkable complexity, with wines that are accessible, refined, and indulgent..
Dedicated to respecting their vines, Maison de la Chapelle uses minimalist viticultural practices, limiting the use of additives and favoring a natural approach. Harvesting is done by hand, and the wines are aged in traditional Burgundy barrels with minimal filtration to preserve grape purity.
The winemakers speak best about their estate:
Maison de la Chapelle was born this way…
Maison de la Chapelle is inspired by the Houses that uphold the prestige of Burgundy wines and is dedicated to Irancy and the terroirs of the Yonne, in this unique northern Burgundy!
Maison de la Chapelle is our place of work, where grapes become wine. Fermentation, maceration, aging, and bottling—all occur here, respecting time and authentic practices.
Maison de la Chapelle is also our home, a place of friendship and sharing. "Made at home" truly holds meaning for us.

Why buy Irancy wines from Maison de la Chapelle?
Because we love them and believe these wines deserve a place in your cellar! But as some clients have told us, "we’re not objective, since we tasted and selected them to sell: we are interested parties." That’s why we prefer to "defend" our selection with reviews from major guides, who are more objective than we are:
Guide RVF of the Best Wines of France 2025 : When he created his wine business in La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne in 2014, Grégory Viennois was also helping the wines of Maison Laroche, in Chablis, shine, which he left in 2022. The winemaker began by working with Brice Garlan, a producer in Irancy, with whom he built strong ties, bringing a technical perspective to the vineyard. Quickly, at the vineyard, he moved towards agroforestry, without dogmatism. Along with his wife Delphine, Grégory seeks to create a small-scale, "homemade" wine business. He produces clean, precise reds with "al dente" ripeness, as he likes to say, while his whites, aligoté or elegant chablis, are exemplary.
Guide Bettane + Desseauve : 3★/5. This small wine business was established with the 2014 vintage by Grégory and Delphine Viennois, and year by year, things are turning out beautifully. Initially, the estate only offered Irancy wines, notably two single-parcel cuvées from Bâtardes and Beaux Monts, but now, an outstanding aligoté from the Chitry terroir, which will expand appreciation of the variety among many wine lovers.
