Gosset, the oldest wine house in Champagne

Ranked 4th best champagne house in the top 50 of the RVF, in front of Dom Perignon, Krug and Ruinart, Gosset is the oldest house of Champagne wine. It produces champagnes of gastronomy present on the most beautiful tables of the world.

It all started in 1584 when Pierre Gosset, then alderman of Ay and winemaker, created a wine trading house. For 4 centuries successive generations have perpetuated the family know-how. Today, it is Jean-Pierre Cointreau who, as president, perpetuates the Gosset style. He is assisted by Odilon de Varine, cellar master, who produces high quality wines that are among the best wines of the Marne.

Gosset develops its wines in the style of a "haute couture" house. Gosset champagnes have a unique style: they are mainly made with pinots noirs and vinified without malolactic fermentation. The goal is to obtain a greater freshness while maintaining a certain acidity. They are powerful champagnes, which benefit from a long aging. These are all the specificities that have made the reputation of Gosset and makes its champagnes so recognizable.
