Domaine Les Pallières – Brunier/Lynch
The Domaine Les Pallières is one of the four domains belonging to the Brunier family of winemakers.
The family has managed the Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe with brio for 5 generations, producing some of the best Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines in the world. It is less well known that the family also makes excellent Gigondas at the Domaine des Pallières.
It is in the north of the Dentelles de Montmirail, in the heart of the Gigondas appellation, that we can discover this superb 25 hectare vineyard.
Planted and then managed by the Hilarion Roux family for several centuries, it was in 1998 that the Brunier brothers had the opportunity to take over the superb estate with their American friend and importer Kermit Lynch. This was the opportunity to seal a partnership that had begun 20 years earlier when the first cases of Vieux Telegraphe were imported into the United States.
After a refurbishment of the vineyard and the creation of new infrastructures, the rough and elegant, warm and mineral style of the wines of the domain has now imposed itself. The domaine offers AOC Gigondas wines with excellent aging potential.
We have selected among their 3 cuvées, which have become references in the Rhone valley, their prestige cuvée "Racines", a very great vintage from the oldest vines.
