Description

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (David Schildknecht, Juin 2011): Ripe cassis and dark cherry mingle with chocolate; bloody beef juices and pan drippings; as well as crushed stone in Alquier's impressive 2010 Faugeres Les Bastides, as tasted from barrel. Hints of vanilla and caramel from new wood are discreetly integrated, with bitterness of cherry pit and juniper berry adding to the piquant, protracted finish. This cuvee promises a dynamically complex and versatile experience for at least a decade.
