The 2017 Morgon Corcelette derives from the sandier soils that typically characterize this lieu-dit, and it’s a new cuvée for Desvignes, produced from purchased grapes. Exhibiting notes of plums, red cherries and potpourri, the wine is medium to full-bodied, bright and tangy, with a juicy core of fruit and fine tannins that will be utterly silky after a few years’ bottle age. Drink 2018-2028.
