Le Clos des Fees Cotes du Roussillon Villages "Le Clos" red 2013
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jeb Dunnuck, avr. 2017): 94+/100. Blackberry, currants, toasted spice, graphite and hints of licorice all soar from the glass of Herve's classic 2013 Cptes du Roussillon Villages le Clos des Fees. Made from 50% Syrah, 20% each of Carignan and Grenache and the balance Mourvèdre, it offers full-bodied richness, good concentration and the more focused, elegant, pure style of the vintage. It's a top-notch effort that will improve with short term cellaring and keep for a decade. Drink 2019-2029.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jeb Dunnuck, avr. 2016): 96/100. Much more classic in style than the exuberant, flamboyant La Petite Siberie, the 2013 Cotes du Roussillon Villages le Clos des Fees checks in as a blend of 50% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 20% Carignan and 10% Mourvèdre, all of which was aged 16 months in 60% new French oak. This full-bodied, ripe, structured 2013 has fabulous density and depth to go with first-rate notes of cassis, black raspberry, licorice and subtle oak. This is a classic, age-worthy Roussillon that will keep for two decades. Drink 2016-2036.
