Description


Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jeb Dunnuck, Apr. 2017): 92/100. Deep ruby/purple colored, the 2014 Moulin de Gassac IGP Saint Guilhem le Désert offers a beautiful Cabernet nose of black currants, raspberries, leafy herbs and earth. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied, ripe, rounded red that has rock solid mid-palate concentration, ripe yet present tannin and a great finish. It's possibly one of the finest reds I've tasted from this estate. The blend is 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Pinot Noir and Tannat. Drink date 2018-2028.
